Very Nice

Very interesting concept to have a preloader which autoadjusts the quality, nice work showcasing it as well, and good choice of music, since your benefitting all of Newgrounds.

jjwallace responds:

hey thanks a lot, it was fun making it and distributing to all

Tubular

This was a lot of fun to play around with, plus I've always been a huge turtles fan.

fallinfrog responds:

thanks for reviewing. im glad it was fun, i didnt originally want to post it, but a friend said i should. why not, right? glad i did now.

Not bad

Usually happy birthday flashes suck ass... hard, but this was actually pretty cool. Happy B-day Bug

Fawx responds:

uh.

Very innovative

aside from the fact that you should add music, this is very good, and noone should give it a low score since the doll will be done by them, then again, not everyone can draw, but, I think its a cool idea.

chesster415 responds:

Thanks. There is a customizable jukebox in the upper left hand corner, for music though. If you can't be bothered to search the internet for an mp3 to load, just leave the address bar blank and it will load a random mp3 from the audio portal.

Completely new and innovative

I am obvious ly no jedi though, I have to say this is a really cool game especially since my head is basically permanently adorned with headphones, if anyone is considering voting low out of lack of graphics, don some headphones and give it a shot, you'll find it surprizingly fun, and a cool unique challenge.

kaolinfire responds:

Thank you very much :D It's definitely best played with headphones and with your eyes closed.

It was tempting to make the scores/etc dance around the screen to be extra distractions, and it would be kind of neat to have some pretty visual effects that didn't have anything to do with what was going on in the game (or very little, maybe), but ... well, maybe pretty geometic patterns like you're squeezing your eyes shut too tight. I'll have to see how hard it is to do something like that behind the score info. Maybe.

And thanks :D

Nice game good use of the hints system, sfx are okay but could use music, also art seems very Clip Art-esqur which is not necessary, because even if you can't draw it's easy to find someone who can draw for you here on Newgrounds.

Blamya responds:

Thanks!
Sorry! I can't afford to appoint an artist to draw the graphics.

Nice game

But... before I start the review, I gotta let you know you have a bad grammatical error in the intro Where it says, Griswold the Goblin is laying about." It should say, "Lying about." Lay is a transitive verb and therefore needs an object, such as a chicken laying eggs or someone laying place settings down at a table. Lie, on the other hand is an intransitive verb meaning it can't take an object and is what you should use when referring to the subject, such as, "he is lying down, or she lies down on the bed. I know it may be confusing at times, and it is one of the MOST COMMON mistakes made in the english language, but for some people, using these incorrectly is the equivalent of saying "Libary" or "Aminals" which is cute if said by a four year old, but embarrasing in a piece of published work. Like I said though, it's an easy mistake to make.

On to the actual review, You have a nice game here, good animation on the intro scene and good narrative voicework (with the above exception). The game itself is very interactive, has good voicework and drawings as well, and is a fun story to play through. I guess I'll check out the first one later on some time.

ps sorry to call you out on that and if this was some homemade game fromsome thirteen year old I wouldn't have said anything, but you guys are 19 and 24, and your game is otherwise very professional, so I figure you like to iron out all the kinks and make the best games possible. keep up the good work, This 10 is well earned.

Phantasmagor responds:

Thanks for the insight. I've never actually thought that laying about was incorrect. You are right that we like to iron out the kinks and maintain as much professionalism as possible however there is little we can do about that mistake now

Nice upgrades

even more enjoyably addictive than before, you definitely did a good job here, and it's a fun game for statwhores all across newgrounds. You should make some other NG based sims as well, I think they'd do good.

iamrunegecko responds:

i think i may do a highscores type thing i later versions, if someone could tell me how to do that in AS2.

Nice game

Well made and a very good timepasser for anybody who wan's to sit back and have some fun, nice work on the graphics and score system, the flight of the bumblebee would be a good song here but your music with it's fast pace matches very well.

MaxManning responds:

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Had trouble finding music for this one!

Nice escape game

I've gotten as far as the matches, but now I'm stuck, cause it wont let me light them anywhere, I'd assume if you can set off the frie alarm the water would fill the hole and bring whatevers down there to the surface, but the firealarm is just a box, and you cna't weem to do anything with it, anyway onto the review, good game but everything is soo frickin smal not to mention its hard to see the menu options since its white on white, make sure to actually add a layer of backround color if you are just relying on autobackround because that has a habit of notoriously not showing up on all browsers. (mine included)

Chaz responds:

never heard of the background problem *___*
sorry it didn't appear for you...
