Is this awesome or what? Newgrounds has an art portal. It only seems natural ,right, for a place where creative people are coming to anyway. I'm totally Psyched.

At first, I thought they were gonna be something special, and although I think that it's somewhat cool that they will be available for more games, I kind of miss that brief period of time when they were something special.

ehhhh... boredom prevails yet again.

I think I actually have some motivation now, partially due to a short trip to an old friend's wedding, and partially because of some really cool flashes by Virgilcomic and Sexual-Lobster both of whom have really cool stuff that you should check out. My reviewing will probably slow down a bit if I am working on stuff, but all in all this week should be good.

I want to work on my cartoon and finish it already, but I'm so fucking busy lately, and sooo fucking tired, that I never seem to have the energy to focus on actually doing anything, if anyone has any good advice about getting psyched up again, please let me know.

I'm currently about two weeks away from completing my first full flash animation, "Appearances." It's taken me quite a long time so far, not just because I'm a master procrastinator, or because I spend too much time at the Flash Portal, but also because it's been a lot of work and a lot of learning. I've been an Artist my whole life but animation and flash animation in general is a whole new ballgame for me, and aside from some basic tutorials, I'm self taught. I don't have too much left to do, but at my current pace two weeks sounds like a good goal.

I currentlly have 1438 frames animated, at 12fps (If I could start over it'd be 24fps, but this whole thing has been a good (and sometimes frustrating) learning experience)

My wife has been on holiday leave the past couple weeks which has been cool having her home, but as a result of which I haven't had any chance to work on my animation... at all, so it'll still be awhile. Maybe I'll get some late night animation in while she's asleep.

So I've gotten a bit more done this week, Done a lot of reviewing too though I guess Newgrounds is probably one of my worst vices when it comes to procrastination from what I should be doing, but hey, I might mot be animating this at all if not for newgrounds so I guess it's kind of a catch 22.

They take awhile, but I have fun making them, I think I'm going to do some for some of my other friends if I can get some good pictures. Hell, maybe I'll even start making them for random people here on NG who want some cool pics (for a lil' money). What do you think?

Also, today I finally got the chance to start doing some serious work on my flash "Appearances" for the first time in over a week. I have 637 frames done so far. If I can avoid procratination over the next couple weeks I might actually finish it before December. But one thing's for sure, I'm gonna make my second flash a LOT less complicated. I'm learning a lot but I have to be careful not to overdo myself. Hopefully it'll turn out funny. And once it's done, I already have my second flash storyboarded.
